Kalka Pharmacy institute for advanced studies had introduced D.Pharm in the year 2018. The pharmacy profession, comprising the industrial, hospital and practice sector, is undergoing a rapid change. Indian Pharma industry, which has registered a spectacular progress today, rank 4th in volume and 13th in value in the global pharmaceutical market with exports worth US dollars 2.6 billion and domestic sales amounting to over US dollars 4 millions in India .
The ever -expanding pharmaceutical industries, Hospitals and practice sectors need clinically and technologically trained pharmacy professionals, who can face global challenges and compete with multinationals. The pharmacist is no longer a merely dispenser of drug, but has assumed a more crucial role in medicine management and as overall healthcare programmer.
The institute has its own spectacular building with spacious well – equipped sophisticated central instrumentation facility, laboratories, Classrooms; LCD projector equipped seminar, museum, computer lab and other facilities as per norms and standard of All India Council for Technical Education and Pharmacy Council of India. We have fully professional and experienced teaching faculty members with experienced laboratory technicians
About The College
Kalka Pharmacy Institute For Advanced Studies aims to offer world class pharmacy education to fulfill the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry and health needs of the society at a large and to achieve excellence in pharmaceutical research. Today, the discipline of Pharmacy has made enormous progress and has matured as a distinctly independent branch as pharmaceutical sciences, mainly through the acquisition of the wealth of knowledge, research and a vast array of drugs & therapeutic remedies. The job of the Pharmacists is to prepare, mix, compound or dispense drugs and medicines, ointments, powder, tablets and injections on the prescription of a medical practitioner, dentist or veterinarian. In detail , they are concerned with production of pharmaceutical products, development of the methods of processes of production and quality control. The college is run by the prestigious “Kalka Educational Society”.
Course
The College is starting in 2018 with D.Pharma Course with the intake of 60. The durtation of course is 2 years and the eligibility for the course is passed 12th Standard with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/ Biology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.
